I’d love to see his taxidermy-charicatures up close.
Just one nitpick though, “This being the Victorian era […]” – Victoria’s reign began in 1837 when, by my reckoning, Charles Waterton was already 55.

Could that have possibly contributed to his eccentricity?

So, Waterton spelling the surname of Luciano’s son Charles that way doesn’t really deserve a [sic].

Or maybe I’m just subliminally donkey-minded.

If anyone’s interested in more fun with humans exploring their nonhuman sides, there’s an interesting article in The New Yorker discussing two recent books by Brits who decided to become in one case a goat, and in the other case a badger: http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/05/30/goatman-and-being-a-beast

There are lots of interesting takeaways from this article. One is that you can get medical humanities funding for this type of project. Another is that a goat exoskeleton is something you can have tailor-made for you, if you’re so inclined.

Which was in alphabetical order previously.

“alphabetical An Christine in introduction is order: Ro. Welcome”

I’ve spent like a half hour trying to decipher it. “An introduction is in alphabetical order. Welcome Christine Ro.” But it isn’t in alphabetical order.
